VOICE is a community-rooted storytelling and media platform being built to bring local knowledge, lived experience, and bold ideas to a worldwide audience. Through professionally coached talks, live experiences, and digital storytelling, we are creating a platform for the people closest to the story — and a way for their ideas to travel beyond the room.
Our first stage is North Minneapolis. Our vision reaches far beyond it. The inaugural event takes place Saturday, December 5th, 2026, at The Capri in Minneapolis, with North High School Principal Mauri Friestleben serving as keynote speaker.
We're building VOICE to bring community-rooted stories and bold ideas to people building their careers, businesses, and communities — wherever they live.
Community voices bring lived experience, expertise, and ideas to a professionally produced stage.
Full-length videos and short, shareable clips give each story a life beyond the event.
Distribution starts with our existing social channels and expands through participating speakers, community partners, and media relationships.
Online audiences can discover the talks, share the ideas, and connect with the people and organizations behind them.
VOICE is being built on an existing track record of producing community-rooted content that people watch, engage with, and share.
of TikTok traffic came through the For You feed
Most TikTok discovery came from algorithmic distribution rather than people intentionally visiting the profile. That matters for VOICE: its growth model depends on compelling stories reaching people beyond an existing follower base.
Additional owned-account performance snapshots. Figures are not aggregated into a single total reach number; account identities and reporting periods are being finalized, and overlapping periods will be removed before any combined figure is published.
Across multiple owned channels, the existing network has demonstrated the ability to generate tens of thousands — and in individual cases more than 100,000 — content views without requiring an audience of comparable size.
That creates an important foundation for VOICE: compelling speakers and ideas can be distributed beyond the people already following the platform.
VOICE will not rely on one algorithm or one audience. Full talks, short-form clips, speaker distribution, owned channels, and partner networks create multiple opportunities for each idea to travel.
YouTube's strategic value is the future searchable library of complete VOICE talks — not its current subscriber size.
One documented Meta post generated 155K+ views.
79.3% of TikTok traffic came through the For You feed.
Current analytics demonstrate thousands of content interactions, shares, comments, and profile visits across owned channels.
"VOICE takes that existing distribution experience and applies it to professionally developed talks designed from the beginning for live impact and digital discovery."
Methodology note: Meta reported possible view undercounting for April 1–4, 2026; actual content distribution was not affected. Views are platform-reported content views — not unique viewers or people reached.
VOICE is a live talk series that transforms lived experience and hard-won expertise into stage-ready presentations. Every speaker is prepared, produced, and amplified so the ideas that deserve a room actually reach one.
Guided development from experienced presentation coaches.
One-on-one shaping of a clear, resonant talk.
Live run-throughs that sharpen delivery and timing.
Lighting, sound, and staging built for the moment.
Professional photo and video production is planned for the VOICE experience. Final speaker media deliverables will be confirmed before the event.
Distribution that keeps ideas moving after the lights go down.
Too many powerful stories never reach a wider audience — not for lack of substance, but for lack of coaching, production, media exposure, and an established platform. This year's theme, Reclaiming the Narrative, is VOICE's answer: putting the mic back in the hands of the people closest to the story.
Mauri Friestleben is the principal of North High School and a respected Twin Cities educator and community leader. Her student-centered leadership and work in North Minneapolis were featured in the documentary Love Them First: Lessons from Lucy Laney Elementary.
As the inaugural VOICE keynote speaker, she represents the courageous, community-rooted leadership the platform was created to elevate — and embodies this year's theme, Reclaiming the Narrative.
Selected speakers must submit a complete first draft before their first coaching session. The draft may still require refinement, but it must include a clear beginning, middle, conclusion, central message, supporting stories, and intended audience takeaway. Ground-up speechwriting is not included in the standard package.
Two supporting speaker opportunities are available for the pilot event.
One youth speaker opportunity is available for the pilot event.
The keynote speaker does not pay a participation fee.
Ilona Parunakova is a TEDx speaker, author, international presenter, leadership coach, and public-speaking professional with more than two decades of nonprofit leadership and personal-development experience.
Each of the four VOICE speakers receives three individual virtual coaching hours with Ilona and one two-hour in-person group rehearsal she leads. Her base coaching helps speakers improve:
Speakers are expected to arrive with a topic, message, or working draft. Ground-up speech development is available as an additional service.
Beyond the base VOICE package, Ilona may offer speakers optional branding and visibility services, including interview opportunities, author and book-development opportunities, personal-brand positioning, media exposure, storytelling and message development, and additional private coaching.
These optional services are offered separately from the base VOICE speaker package and may require an additional investment.
VOICE will include one curated artistic performance designed to complement the event's theme, strengthen the audience experience, and create a meaningful transition within the program.
Eligible performance types:
VOICE is not seeking full bands, extended musical sets, nightclub-style performances, or entertainment that distracts from the speaker-centered format — this is not a concert or open-mic opportunity.

One of the four featured speakers is a young person — receiving the same professional coaching and a real live-stage opportunity as every other voice on the program.
Youth Voice sponsorship is direct support for a young changemaker's confidence, communication, and leadership exposure. It's a name on the moment a next-generation leader first steps into the light.

Our goal is not to bring the same conversation to every city. It is to give each community a platform for its own knowledge, challenges, solutions, and voices — and connect those perspectives with the world.
Build the Minneapolis flagship through recurring live experiences, speaker development, professional production, and local partnerships.
Build an expanding library of talks and digital stories, release content between events, and connect audiences through speaker and partner networks.
Develop relationships with local organizers and institutions in additional cities, adapting the format to each community while maintaining shared production standards. Over time, explore captioning, translation, and international collaborations to make more stories accessible across languages and locations.
A long-term growth vision, not confirmed expansion — no future dates or cities have been announced. Online audience growth comes first; physical events in new communities follow later.

Food vendors are responsible for all required licenses, permits, insurance, food-safety requirements, equipment, staffing, payment processing, and venue compliance.
PUSH The Network develops platforms, partnerships, and experiences that connect people with professional opportunities, resources, relationships, and visibility.
Through events, media, workforce development, youth engagement, and strategic partnerships, PUSH builds the stages where community and opportunity meet — and VOICE is one of them.
Production and media for VOICE are led by Black Gift Media, capturing the night through photography, videography, and live content that carries every voice on stage far beyond the room.
Black Gift Media handles production and media for VOICE — photography, videography, and live content built to carry every speaker's moment past the room they stood in.
From stage-ready footage to the images that travel across sponsor and speaker channels after the night is over, their team makes sure VOICE is remembered, not just attended.
Whether you have a story to share, a brand ready to support meaningful work, or the resources to help the platform grow, there is an opportunity to help shape the future of VOICE — starting with the inaugural experience on Friday, December 5th, 2026, at the Capri Theatre.
